Time is related to change; we see time because of change. Change we notice because there was once a state (past) which evolved into a new state (present). Through all these changes, galaxies with planets, moons, suns and various other matter were formed.
Our minds, our languages, our lives are filled with various types of dichotomies (natural, social, abstract), and that is why it makes sense to us to approach the challenges of our world, with a dichotomic viewpoint. We live on a planet, which rotates around the sun. This resulted in a cycle of night and day (natural dichotomy). We lived as tribes and noticed other tribes, which resulted in social dichotomy like “us” vs. “them”. When we face a challenge (abstract dichotomy), which might only be real because we see it as such, we have a specific unwanted state (problem) vs. a wanted state (problem solved) and this is how we deal with a lot of challenges in our lives. But there are inherent negative characteristics underlying a standard dichotomic viewpoint, which you have to acknowledge so that you don’t make incorrect conclusions or have arguments which don’t lead anywhere because you haven’t met each other on the same “level”.
We frequently have arguments with our friends and family about issues. We argue on what is right or wrong and sometimes it appears that both parties are right. So we shout louder, hoping that somehow our arguments will break though theirs. How can it be that both “opposing” parties are correct? It appears at first glance that we argue over the same thing, but on a closer look, you will realise that you debating the same issue/condition, but using different contexts or what I call “debating on different levels¹”.

¹ I believe there is a knowledge hierarchy (not necessarily of importance, but something that shapes the questions we can sensibly ask).
